Barbara Ann Jindra, age 75, of Albertville passed away on Thursday, July 17th, 2014 at her residence.
She was born on June 3, 1939 in Milbank, South Dakota the daughter of Raymond & Bertha Hanks Frevert.
Barbara grew up in Big Stone City, South Dakota.
On July 11, 1959, Barbara Ann Frevert and Robert J. Jindra were joined in holy marriage. God blessed their marriage with four children.
She drove school bus for twenty-five years for Don’s Bus Service.
Barbara enjoyed flower gardening, bowling, camping and the out of doors. She was a longtime volunteer at the Hanover Food Shelf.
Barbara also was a faithful member and lay leader of Zion United Methodist Church in Hanover. She was very involved in their parents night out and Bible study.
Survived by children: Timothy (Rebecca) Jindra of Whitehouse, Ohio, Rachel (Don) Tople of Howard Lake, Craig (Denise) Jindra of Zimmerman and Carrie (Tim) Roble of Frazee, Minnesota; ten grandchildren & six great grandchildren; brothers & sisters: Charles (Norma) Frevert, Roger (Ann) Frevert, Marilyn (Rick) Pettit, Linda (Scot) Litch and Mark (Barb) Frevert; other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her loving husband: Robert J. Jindra, her parents and by a sister: Carol Meyers.
Graveside Committal Service for Barbara Jindra will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, July 24th at The United Methodist Cemetery in Hanover.
Celebration of Life Thursday, July 24th at 4:00 P.M. Elk River United Methodist Church. A time of gathering at the church Thursday one hour prior to services.
I am so saddened to hear of Barb’s passing. She was one of our foursome celebrating our birthdays and I will miss her. I will not be able to join you for her memorial service but my thoughts and prayers will be with you all. Millie & David Stoick
I was so saddened to hear about Barb’s death. Barb was such a great worker at the food shelf and so much fun to have around.
We will definitely miss her…..we were waiting for the doctor’s ok for her to come back to the food shelf.
Dan and I send our condolences to the Jindra family, it is so hard losing someone you love so much. Our prayers are with your family during this difficult time.
