    Dear Kathy and Jeff,
We have never met nor did I have the pleasure of meeting Austin in person but I do know a little about him thanks to Robin and Bill. And, while we will never know why his time with us was so short, I know that he was loved by many and especially by you who lovingly cared for him throughout his short life. Somewhere, his spirit is soaring and he is laughing and bringing joy to many.

I am so sorry for Austin’s family. To lose a child, I think, is the hardest trial we face! God has definitely gotten a new angel in Austin! I wish you all peace.

Katie, Jeff, Abby, Lucy and Max-
Every day you are in my thoughts and prayers. I know that Austin has been, in many ways, the center of your family. You all put so much love and energy into making his world wonderful for him. I will never forget his smile and laugh. While it must feel like Austin’s death has totally shaken your world, I pray that the light of all the love you share as a family can break through the shadows of your grief. Thank you for letting me into yours and Austin’s life just a little bit. You inspire me with your love and commitment to Austin and each other. God bless you all!
