I had the privilege of being Ashley’s instructor at BSU and also served as her university supervisor. She had a quick smile with the children and was an exceptional student. She cared deeply about the children in the classroom and had a positive attitude. I am so sorry to hear of her passing.

I was so very saddened to hear of Ashley’s passing. While I was really no more than a mere spectator in her life via Facebook, she had touched my life in a time that I was in need. We took a BSU math class together in the spring of 2010. It was an intense class, and I was going through some rough times in my personal life. Long story short, Ashley gave me advice in the parking lot on a cold spring day after class which set me on a course that made a definite impact on my life and career. I will always be grateful to her for that. She was a very special person.
