I also lived in Waskish at one time and Arvona and her family lived down the road from us. She and I started school together (big class of five; Arvona, Terry, Loretta, Vick, and me) in a one-room schoolhouse. Though I never saw Arvona again after graduating from high school, I can attest to the fact that she was always was a a wonderful, kind, gentle person! Only wish I could have been in touch with her in the years that followed high school.

My Mom was like my best friend. She meant a lot to me and my daughters,we all miss her very much. What I remember the most was mom telling stories about when she grew up,and one of the stories I remember the most was when mom swallowed a dime and her sister Irma checked the out house after mom went to the bathroom until she found that dime.
