Arvid John Reetz, age 77, of Albertville, passed away August 25th at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

He is survived by his wife Marlys (Henslin) Reetz, two children, Steven of Minneapolis and Julie (Eric) Henthorne of Crystal, Minnesota their two children, Cassandra and Quinton, all who will miss him deeply.

He was preceded in death by his parents Otto and Ida Marie (Schmidt) Reetz, one sister Marvel Reiner, and three brothers Elroy, Darwin, and Arvin.

Arvid was a graduate of Danube High School and served in the United States Army 82nd Airborne as a paratrooper. In his younger years he worked on the M&St. L. Railroad followed by thirty-eight years with Honeywell and Alliant Tech Systems.

Services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Wednesday August 29th, from The Word of Peace Lutheran Church, Rogers, MN with burial to follow at 3PM at Immanual Lutheran Cemetery, Clara City, with full military honors.

Public visitation will be held from 5-8 PM Tuesday evening at The Peterson Chapel St. Michael-Albertville Funeral Home in St. Michael and again one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

Arrangements are being handled by The Peterson Funeral Home St. Michael, Minnesota

    Red was a Danube neighbor and classmate and a person his classmates were honored to call their friend.
