Arnold J. Zachman, age 89, of St. Michael passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at his residence.
He was born on March 12, 1925 in Frankfort Township the son of Gregor & Susan (Servaty) Zachman.

On August 30, 1944, Arnold J. Zachman and Mary A. Dahlheimer were joined in holy marriage at St. Martin Catholic Church in Rogers. God blessed their marriage with five children.

Arnold engaged in dairy farming in Frankfort Township for many years. On January 17, 1994, Arnold & Mary moved into St. Michael.

He was a faithful, lifelong member of St. Michael Catholic Church in St. Michael. He was also a longtime Sacristan of the church and was also a church usher since the age of fifteen and also served as head usher for many years. He also belonged to The Knights of Columbus Council #4174.

Survived by children: Kenneth (Mary) Zachman of St. Michael, Susan (Richard) Fritz of Golden Valley, James (Patricia) Zachman of St. Michael and Gregory (Sharon) Zachman of Albertville; eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; sisters & brothers: Philomene (Paul) Laky of Philadelphia, PA, Alfred (Rose) Zachman of Albertville, Gilbert (Audrey) Zachman of St. Paul and Alberta Lehn of Grand Rapids; other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents: Gregor & Susan Zachman, a daughter: Joannne Zachman in 1962 and by his wife: Mary Zachman in 2009.

A Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, March 20th at 11:00 A.M. at The St. Michael Catholic Church in St. Michael.
Principal Concelebrant will be Father Michael Becker.

Interment will follow at the St. Michael Cemetery.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 19th from 4-8 P.M. at The Peterson Chapel St. Michael Albertville Funeral Home. A Knights of Columbus Rosary will be held at 7:30 P.M. Wednesday evening. Further visitation Thursday morning, March 20th one hour prior to Mass at the church.

Casket Bearers will be Michael Zachman, Andy Fritz, Nick Fritz, Dan Schonhardt, Eric Pearson and Bruce Dahlheimer.
