Arlys Marie Bauer (Miller), age 86, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Bandera Nursing Home and Rehab in Bandera, Texas. She was born June 30, 1931 in Slayton, Minnesota, the daughter of Bert and Luella (Isfelt) Miller.
Arlys graduated from Minnesota Business College and was a realtor for 40 years in the Buffalo, Minnesota and surrounding area. She attended St. John’s Lutheran Church in Buffalo for many years. Arlys enjoyed caring for her flowers, and time spent with her family and friends.
On October 18, 1952, Arlys M. Miller and Roy W. Bauer were united in marriage. The two moved to Buffalo, Minnesota in 1968.
Arlys moved to Texas in August of 2016 to live with her son, Donn.
Preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Luella Miller; husband, Roy W. Bauer; and brother, Charles Miller.
Arlys is survived by her son, Donn W. Bauer of Lakehills, TX; daughter, Barbara (James) Sterrett of Voorhees, NJ; granddaughters, Emily (Matt) Hepburn, Jenn Saari, Sara Bauer; great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Hepburn; sister, Betty (Howard) Meyer; and other family and friends.
A memorial service for Arlys Bauer will be held Friday, January 26, 2018 at 10:00 AM, with visitation beginning at 9:30 AM, at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo with Pastor Ryan Clark officiating. Arlys will be buried at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis to be with Roy.
Memorials may be given to St. John’s Lutheran Church in Buffalo, Minnesota.
