    Mr. Nelson (I still have to call you Mr. Nelson), Dan, Rachel, Margaret, and Maren: I am so sorry for your loss. I have so many memories of your wife/mom – conversations in the kitchen, so many slumber parties when we kept the both of you awake all night, Bowser, driving to downtown Mpls to the House of Vision to get glasses for Margaret and to visit Rachel at work (cannot remember the name of the store)…so many memories of your family. I know she did a lot of things for Buffalo in her “years of politics” but I will always remember her kind heart as “Margaret’s mom.” God Bless all of you.
    Love, Sue

    Mr. Nelson, (I, too, can’t call you by your first name; it is Mr. right?)Dan, Rachel, Margaret and Maren;
    So sorry to read of your Mom’s passing. On Saturday, I was telling our new daughter-in-law about the time I stayed over at your home after our 25 year class reunion. Margaret invited me to sleep over in her Mom’s bed. I felt hugged all night. Your family has been in my thoughts the past 3 days and I didn’t know why. Maybe it was God’s way of sharing your sorrow. Gentle hugs to all of you.

    Warren it was just a few days before Arlyn passed that we had such a wonderful conversation about the two of you. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your children.

    Dearest Warren and family,
    A “highly favored” auntie, Larry would say. Arlyn was a godly lady, kind and good to all. She’s with the saints, rejoicing, awaiting our arrival. Love, Margie

    Mr. Nelson (another one of the kids that just can’t call you by your first name); I’ll forever be grateful to you and Mrs. Nelson for the love and kindness bestowed on me through the high school years taking in this Corcoran kid on those nights when it was so nice not to have to travel the long distance home and be closer to the school events. Your house was a home away from home. I’ve treasured Margaret’s friendship all these years along with the deep friendship of you, her dear parents. Hugs to you all.

    My condolences to the Nelson family. Having known a few of the Nelsons, I see that Arlyn and Warren brought intelligence, humor and open-mindedness into this world. Arlyn’s life was full of purpose and contribution. How wonderful that hers was a positive influence on this earth! We all benefit from that!

    I wish you all great speed in getting to that place in time where thinking of Arlyn brings a big smile and reflection on all she meant to you.

    My best,

    Karen Terhaar
