Arlene Mae Erickson, age 76 of Buffalo, passed away Friday, December 14, 2018. She was born August 14, 1942 in Minneapolis, the daughter of Leonard and Esther (Stevenson) Dahlberg.

Arlene was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Salem Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. She was a 1960 graduate from Patrick Henry High School in Minneapolis and attending college at the University of Minnesota receiving a degree in nursing. Arlene worked as a nurse at Parkview Care Center in Buffalo from 1968 to 1998. After retiring, Arlene continued her nursing by volunteering at Parkview Care Center.

On May 18, 1963 Arlene Dahlberg and Harlan Erickson were united in marriage at Salem Lutheran Church in Minneapolis.

Arlene was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo and volunteered at church by addressing envelopes and assisting with communion.

Arlene enjoyed traveling and taking cruise trips to the Caribbean and Alaska, reading, playing solitaire, creating crafts, crocheting, spending time outdoors, camping, white water rafting, and playing with her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Harlan Erickson; children, Chris (Rick) Williams, Carla Erickson-Kotz, Carrie (Jon) Huston, Chad Erickson, Clay (Jenny) Erickson; grandchildren; Andrew (Holly) Williams, Clint Williams, Bradley Williams, Skylar Kotz, Bryce Kotz, Julia Huston, Thomas Huston, Isaiah Erickson, Isabella Erickson; great-grandchildren, Liam and Landon Williams; sister, Carol (Homer) Hontz; and many other loving family and friends.

A funeral service will be held Friday, December 21, 2018 at 11:00 AM, with visitation beginning at 9:30 AM, at Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo. Burial to follow at Zion Cemetery in Buffalo.
