Arlene Ann (Kressel) Finch, age 76 of Monticello, passed away after a courageous and long battle with COPD.

She was born on September 23, 1944 in Kenosha, Wisconsin to Edward and Anna (Pirosch) Kressel and spent many years living and working in the area and also in Gordon, Wisconsin with her family.

Arlene pursued a roller derby career, and was recruited to skate professionally in Wisconsin. She instead became a loving homemaker and raised her family of four children. She stayed active by playing softball in various leagues in Gordon.

Arlene was a gifted punch needle crafter, and would spend hours creating art pieces to keep and give to family and friends. She loved spending quality time with her family playing card games like 500, playing dominoes, and watching game shows on TV. She especially enjoyed having good conversations and get-togethers with her best friend, Rosbie Booth. Her family and friends meant so much to her, and she always made sure their needs were taken care of and were a priority.

Christmas time was very special to Arlene, and she loved the decorations and holiday cheer. Her faith was very important to her, and opened her heart to Jesus in the recent years. She had a kind and generous heart, and would save any money she could to donate to St. Jude’s Hospital.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Anna Kressel; and brothers, Robert and Wayne Kressel.

Arlene is survived by her children, Scott, Wesley, Jeffrey, and Stacy; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sister, Nancy; best friend, Rosbie; special friend in Kenosha, Terry; and many other relatives and friends.

A private funeral service will be held Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 2 PM at the Zimmerman Community Church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be directed to St. Jude’s Hospital.
