Anthony “Tony” Macagnone, 73, of Rogers, MN, sadly left us on September 15, 2023.

Born on March 12, 1950 to Frank and Concetta (LaRocca)  Macagnone. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Tony was the youngest of 4. As he grew so did his passion for floral design, he opened his own flower shop in Caldwell, New Jersey. He met his wife, Sara (Hedstrom) Macagnone and they were married July 6, 1991. Shortly after, they had two sons, David and Andrew. In 2005, the family moved to Minnesota to be closer to Sara’s family. Tony spent his years working in flower shops and driving a school bus, where the kids kept him entertained. He found joy in his grandchildren, gardening, birdwatching, watching sports and taking the sun. He is already missed.

He is survived by his wife: Sara (Hedstrom) Macagnone; sons: David (Michelle) Macagnone and Andrew (Maia) Macagnone; grandchildren: Oliver, Vincent, Elliott, Wesley and Selena; sisters: Rose and Sara Macagnone; as well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents: Frank and Concetta Macagnone, and a sister: Anna Marie Macagnone.

Acts 17:28. “For in Him we live, and move and have our being;”. With sadness I received the news for the passing of Anthony. With gladness and joy, I recalled the former days in New York City when the Lord reached out to him and made all things new, rejoicing in His salvation. Here in New Jersey too. Sarah, David and Andrew receive my condolences at this time. In his absence, my prayer is that He (the Lord) will make you strong in His knowledge, that the memories of your earthly father become realities in your own lives.
    In His presence,
    Stavros Astrinidis
