Annette Lavina (Shogren) Bryant, age 79 of Clearwater, Minnesota passed away on Friday, January 15, 2016 in Annandale, Minnesota.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 17th from 4-8 P.M. at Zion Lutheran Church in Annandale. A Prayer service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Further visitation will be held on Monday morning, January 18th one hour prior to services at the church.

Funeral services for Annette Lavina (nee Shogren) Bryant will be held on Monday, January 18th at 11:00 A.M. at Zion Lutheran Church in Annandale. Pastor Thomas Queck will officiate. Private interment Corinna Cemetery in Annandale.

Casket Bearers will be her seven grandsons: Matthew Bryant, Ben Bryant, Jeremy Bryant, Hayden Bryant, Elijah Bryant, Bryan Anderson, and Brandon Anderson

Annette was born in Montrose, Minnesota on July 19, 1936 to John Albin & Laura (Prestidge) Shogren.

Annette was baptized on November 1, 1936 and confirmed in the Christian faith in April of 1947.

She graduated from Minnetonka High School in 1954.

On September 27, 1958, Annette married Duane “Sonny” Bryant. God blessed their marriage with seven children.

Annette and Sonny farmed together in Maple Lake until 1998 when they sold the farm and moved to Clearwater, Minnesota.

Annette loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and enjoyed attending their school activities. For over fifty years she sang in the choir at Zion Lutheran Church in Annandale. She loved to crochet, making beautiful baby blankets for her grandchildren and also helped a quilting group in Clearwater. For many years Annette actively participated in TOPS. Annette and Duane loved to get together with friends and play cards. She also graciously supported her husband’s fishing habit.

Annette is survived by her husband: Duane; a sister: Glenna (Jean-Pierre) Briant of Boulder, Colorado; her seven children: Gary (Sandy) Bryant of Zumbrota, Minnesota, Gayle Balster of Minot, North Dakota, Brenda (Marvin) Anderson of Coon Rapids, Minnesota, Michael (Lynn) Bryant of St. Cloud, Minnesota, Geoffrey (Amy) Bryant of Maple Lake, Minnesota, Randy (Kari) Bryant of Monticello, Minnesota, and Roxanne (Gregg) Thompson of Farmington, Minnesota; twenty-one grandchildren and one great grandchild; other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents Albin & Laura Shogren, her father-in-law & mother-in-law: Harold & Luella Bryant, a brother and a sister-in-law Gilman & Ardis Bryant, and by a sister-in-law Arlene Bryant.
