Ann R. Knight, age 48, of Buffalo, Minnesota passed away on Saturday, May 5th, 2012 at J.A. Wedum Residential Hospice in Brooklyn Park.

For fifteen and a half years, Ann fought breast cancer. She handled this disease with grace, courage and dignity. Ann being the strong, caring woman she was did not allow this disease to impede her will to live her life to the fullest…

She was born on November 22, 1963 in Marshfield, Wisconsin the daughter of Richard & Elaine Fehrenbach.

Ann attended St. John’s Catholic grade school and graduated from Columbus High School in Marshfield in 1982.

Ann worked at Copp’s grocery and later worked at Walmart as an assistant manager. Ann enjoyed the following years raising her children. She later worked at Sunrise Cottages in Buffalo. Her most recent position was a Reminiscence Coordinator. She was well respected and loved by her co-workers, residents and resident’s families alike.

Survived by her loving husband: Peter C. Knight; a son & a daughter: Matthew Knight and Emily Knight of St. Cloud, Minnesota; her mother: Elaine Fehrenbach of Marshfield, Wisconsin; sisters & brothers: Bonnie Arnoldy of Marshfield, Carol Haumschild of Andover, Minnesota, Tim Fehrenbach of Wisconsin Rapids, Mary Fehrenbach of Marshfield, Diane Fehrenbach of Ellsworth, Maine, Nancy Polster of Apple Valley, Minnesota Tom Fehrenbach of Hewitt, Wisconsin and Janet Southworth of Marshfield; her mother-in-law: Blanche Knight of Overland Park, Kansas; many other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her father Richard Fehrenbach, a brother: Terry Fehrenbach and by a sister: Sharon Fehrenbach.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Ann Knight will be held on Thursday, May 10th at 10:00 A.M. at The Church of St. Francis in Buffalo, Minnesota. Father David Hennen will be the Celebrant.

Interment St. Francis Cemetery.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 9th from 4-8 P.M. at The Peterson Chapel in Buffalo. A Rosary will be recited at 7:30 P.M.

Further visitation will be held on Thursday morning, May 10th one hour prior to Mass at the Church.

Casket Bearers will be Steve Knight, Steven Sims, Tim Fehrenbach, Tom Fehrenbach, Justin Fehrenbach and Sean Haumschild.

The family thanks the Marshfield Clinic in particular Dr. Tipping and the many nurses who assisted with Ann’s care over the years, also the staff at the J.A. Wedum Residential Hospice for their loving care.

Memorials can be made to the Buffalo Relay for Life or the Allina Hospice Foundation for the J.A. Wedum Residential Hospice.

    I have only known Ann for almost a year. She was a very considerate and all around a great person. We shared Good Mornings, alot, as I visited my Mom at Sunrise. We will all miss her smile.

    Ann was such a nice woman, just so likeable. I was so sorry to hear about the return of her cancer & her passing. She, and many others, were so kind & caring to my mother when she was at Sunrise. My sympathy to Ann’s family, many friends & co-workers. She will be missed by many.

    I knew Ann when she was one of the many kind caregivers for my mother at Sunrise Cottages. Ann was a wonderful person, so caring & likeable. I was so sorry to hear of her continued struggle against cancer & of her passing. My sincere sympathy to her family, her many friends & co-workers. She will be missed by so many!
