Visitation Information

Anita Bernice (Kalk) Faue, age 84, of New Hope, MN, was lifted up into the loving arms of her Savior on Saturday May 29, 2010, at the Park View Care Center in Buffalo.

She was born May 27, 1926, at home in Greenfield, MN, the oldest child of Charles and Emma (Lieder) Kalk.

She was a lifelong member of St Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hanover, MN. She was baptized June 10, 1926, by Reverend William Beiswanger and confirmed in the Christian faith on July 2, 1939 by Pastor O.F. Herder.

On June 28, 1941, Harold E. Faue and Anita B. Kalk were united in marriage at the parsonage by Pastor O.F. Herder. God blessed them with a son, Ralph.

Anita was an extraordinary woman, hardworking all her life, with a kindness and generosity beyond measure. She always worked toward perfection and had a knack for developing her own special techniques to create improvement, quality and efficiency.

Her many talents included cake decorating, cooking and baking (always homemade), sewing, embroidering, gardening, just to name a few.

After retirement from Riteway Precision Machine in 1991, she began her labor of love in hand-made quilts. Crafting one for each member of her extended family, and each one unique.

She touched the lives of so many and will be greatly missed by us all. Thank you for sharing your wisdom with love and kindness.

She is survived by a Son Ralph (Diane) Faue of Buffalo; Granddaughters: Brenda (Robert) Oberlander of Buffalo, Julie (Daniel) Welter of Plymouth; Great Grandchildren: Austin and Karissa Oberlander, Benjamin and Elizabeth Welter; a Sister: Verdell Faue-Schleif of Osseo; a Brother: Carl (Patricia) Kalk of St Michael; Sisters-in-law: Marcella Faue of Maple Grove and Marion (Al) Berge-Faue of Osseo; Delores Heidelberger of Rockford, and Jessie Finke of Robbinsdale; Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

Anita was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold; her parents Emma and Charles Kalk; Brothers-in-law: Gaylord, Emery, Levi and Albert Jr. Faue; Albert Heidelberger, Clarence Finke and Gerald Schleif; Sister-in-law: Patsy Faue.

Funeral Services for Anita Faue were held on Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hanover with interment at the church cemetery.
