Our dearly loved brother and uncle, Andrew “Drew” C. Evanoff, age 70 of Big Lake, passed away peacefully on the 20th anniversary of his beloved father’s death, on March 30, 2018. Drew was born on April 29, 1947 to Andrew G. and Mary (Cady) Evanoff in Sheboygan, WI. He shared the same birthdate with his father coincidentally.
Drew was an avid naturalist and artist who created beautiful paintings and woodcarvings. He had many skills and interests, and was a talented model railroader. Drew also was in a band and played the guitar. He frequently travelled the United States—one of his favorite cities being Big Pine Key, Florida. He lived there for several years and also worked as a chef in various restaurants.
He was preceded in death by his father, Andrew; mother, Mary; brother, Nat; and nephew, Ray Kopponen. Survived by sister, Mary (Jim) Daluge; nieces, Roxanne (Mike) Good and Toni (Nate) Robbins; nephew, Matt (Cathy) Deluge; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 6 pm with visitation one hour prior at The Peterson Chapel in St. Michael, MN. Private interment at St. Albert’s Cemetery in Albertville, MN.
