My sympathy to Amber’s family. I learned of her death last night. Amber and I were friends in middle school and high school at Orono. I had always hoped I would see her again someday. She wrote in my senior year book “I’ve known you for quite a long time & you’ve always been a good friend. It was fun cooking with you in Fascinating Foods. Good luck with Jon. I wish you the best of everything always. With Love Amber” I am very sad I will never see her again. I was not able to get away from work to attend her service.

Amber and I met at a cancer retreat and instantly we felt like we had known each other our entire lives. I am so sad to see this news, it’s heartbreaking. Amber had more hope than any person I’ve met. This world will not be the same without her, and she will be remembered always. My sympathy to her family and to John, whom I was fortunate to meet last spring. I was so glad to meet you and see how loved Amber was.
