Visitation Information
Allan J. Carswell, born 6/5/1939, passed away 1/17/2018. Preceded in death by mother Patsey; father George; and brother George. Survived by lifelong friend Patricia Hall; brothers and sisters; nieces and nephews; and close friends. In his younger days, Allan enjoyed hunting and fishing and after retiring as a 49er heavy equipment operator, he enjoyed woodworking and yard work. He created many works of art the family will cherish. Burial service will be held at Fort Snelling on Tuesday, 1/23/18, at 10 AM assembly area #2.
I am a cousin of Pat Hall and we have become close to Al. My husband Steve and Al had a particularly close relationship. They loved to share military stories. We were also very impressed with Al’s woodworking projects – what a talented man. We are very sad at Al’s passing. Our condolences to Al’s family and friends and to my cousin Pat.
