Allan “Butch” Haberman of St. Michael, MN formerly of Owatonna died Friday, March 9, 2012 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, MN.
A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday March 14, 2012 from 4-7 p.m. at Peterson Funeral Chapel in St. Michael, MN, an additional visitation will be held on Thursday March 15, 2012 from 4:00 pm -7:00 pm at the Brick-Meger Funeral Home in Owatonna. A private interment will take place at a later date.
Butch was born the son of Anton A. and Bernadine J. (Pribyl) Haberman in Owatonna, MN. Butch attended Owatonna High School and was a member of the graduating class of 1980. Butch worked all of his life in maintenance and repair for manufacturing companies. He was united in marriage to Lisa M. Gillis on August 3, 1985 in Faribault, MN. Together the couple raised one daughter, Alesha. He also worked as a lock smith for several years. Butch found most joy in collecting musical animals, fixing things, nature, animals, and most of all spending time with his family.
Butch is survived by his wife Lisa and their daughter Alesha of St. Michael, MN; his mother Bunny Haberman of Owatonna, his sisters Kathy Walters of Waseca and Debbie Lee of Rochester, and his brother Todd Haberman of Owatonna, MN, and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his in-laws, Dutch and Judy Gillis, Dave Gillis, Sharon Gillis and Nancy (Scott) Johnson. He is preceded in death by his father, Allan Haberman, and his sister Laurie Moore.
