Alissa Marie Denson, age 27 of Rockford, died at home on Thursday, April 23, 2009.

Alissa was born on March 19, 1982 in Minneapolis to Richard and Glenna (nee Van Viickle) Denson. She worked at Functional Industries from 1999 until 2008. A Class of 2003 graduate of Rockford High School, Alissa enjoyed bowling, bingo, Fairs, parades, Wheel of Fortune, and playing with babies. She loved being with people and sharing with them.

Alissa is survived by her parents, Rich and Glenna, Rockford; sister, Kathy Denson, Forest City, NC; half-sisters, Theresa (Todd) Fisher, Glenwood, and Debbie (Joel) Sparks, Glenwood; half-brother, Mark Denson, Montevideo; many nieces and nephews including: Urriah, Caledh, and Christy; many aunts, uncles, other family members and friends, including loyal dog, Buddy. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and stillborn sister, Christy.

The first Memorial service will be held at 6:30 P.M. on Monday, April 27, 2009 at Rockford Baptist Church, and a second Memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Edina. There will be a time of fellowship at each church, one hour before the service. Interment is private at Grove Lake Cemetery in Grove Lake.
