November 9, 1955 – December 17, 2023

Alice Mary Farrow, age 68 of Rockford, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at home on December 17, 2023.

She was born on November 9, 1955, in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Gerald and Lorraine (Kirscht) George. Alice graduated from Park Senior High School in 1974 and later that fall she was joined in marriage to her first and only love, Curtis Farrow. They resided in Greenfield, MN where they built their family home and raised four daughters.

Alice was a devoted wife to her soulmate and a caring mother to her children and grandchildren. In addition to being an amazing stay at home mom raising her daughters, she also ran her own cleaning business for new construction and waitressed at Red Lobster. She was always there to support her family; from volunteering for school activities and becoming known as, “The Cool Mom,” to cheering on her girls at their sporting events, to packing gourmet lunches for her husband and children with handwritten notes. Later, she began working at Lunds & Byerlys in Plymouth, MN from when they first opened in 2001 until she retired in 2020. Her favorite part of working in the Deli was interacting with the customers, many of whom had come to know her by name and would specifically seek her out for her joyful personality and great customer service. When she wasn’t working, she was spending quality time with family building memories that will always be cherished. Family meant the world to her above anything else. She loved camping, fishing, planting flowers each year, and most of all she had a passion for cooking. She loved trying new recipes and took pride in making special meals for her family. She made the best raspberry jam that was out of this world. She will forever be remembered for her cooking, which was always enough to feed an army. The room was almost always filled with music whether it was playing on the radio or on the TV. She loved her hallmark movies, especially the Countdown to Christmas. Out of all the holidays, Christmas was her favorite. She was an avid Minnesota hockey fan from the time of the North Stars to the present-day MN Wild.

It didn’t matter who you were, she was always there to listen and offer support. She did her best to let things roll off her shoulders just to keep the peace. Every day was a good day.

We will continue to carry on the family traditions for each & every occasion. A seat will be left open, knowing that she will always be with us. Having had Alice as a wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, daughter, daughter-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and a friend is a blessing. For that we will be forever grateful, and she will be dearly missed.

Until we meet again.

Alice is preceded in death by her mother, Lorraine George; father, Gerald George; mother-in-law, Delores Farrow; father-in-law, Russell Farrow. Survived by her beloved husband of 49 years, Curtis; children, Jennifer Farrow, Theresa (Gary) Gaupp, Amanda Farrow, and Megan (Joe) Buckingham; grandchildren, Ethan, Joseph, Tanner, Greyson, and Ivy; siblings, Jerry (Brenda) George, Diane Thompson, and Bryan (Lisa) George; and many other close relatives and friends.

Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at 12:00 PM with visitation one hour prior at Our Father’s Lutheran Church in Rockford, Minnesota.

I first met Alice in the summer of 2020 when I became her hair stylist. She was more than just a client, but she was a friend. I’ll miss seeing her and her bright eyes every 4-5 weeks. My heart goes out to her loved ones. I pray you all lean on eachother and never forget how much she loved all of you. ♡
