Alice Marion (Stavig) Anderson-Dahl, age 92, of Tequesta, Florida, formerly of Buffalo, Minnesota passed away Saturday, October 20, 2007.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 27 at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior, at Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo, where Alice was a long time member. Rev. Delwayne Hahn will officiate and burial will follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery.
Alice was born on June 8, 1915 to Peder (P.L.) Olaus Stavig and Thilda (Tillie) Marie London Stavig. She was baptized as an infant and confirmed her faith on June 2, 1929. She married Carroll Emil Anderson on April 28, 1935 at Goodwill Lutheran Church in Sisseton, South Dakota. They were blessed with the gift of three children. They moved to Buffalo where they made their home for many years. While in Buffalo they owned and operated numerous businesses, including a grocery store, restaurant, furniture store, and Mister Softee ice cream trucks. Carroll preceded her in death on May 30, 1978. Following Carroll™s death Alice married Otis Julian Dahl on December 4, 1982 at Atonement Lutheran Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. Following their marriage the couple moved to Florida. Otis preceded her in death in 1990.

lice is survived by her son, Carroll L. (Andy) Anderson of Eau Claire, WI; grandchildren, Steve (Monica) Anderson of Hobe Sound, FL, Jeff Anderson of Burnsville, MN, Gary (Amy) Anderson of Fremont, NC, James (Jodi) Anderson of St. Cloud, MN, Lisa (Michael) Wohlman of Kimball, MN, Pete (Dixie) Anderson of Eau Claire, WI, and Darrick (Keturah) Anderson of Temecula, CA; great-grandchildren, Ryley, Chuck, Stephanie, Crystal, Cassie, Kari, Josh, Brandon, Theresa, Sheldon, Jerzie, Brady and Dean; great-great-grandchildren, Dillon, Chase, Brittanie, Kortanie, Beth and Christian.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Lloyd and Carroll; husbands, Carroll and Otis; two sons, Dennis James and John Richard; and a daughter-in-law, Cheryl Anderson.
Pallbearers will be Steve Anderson, Jeff Anderson, Jim Anderson, Josh Anderson, Pete Anderson, and Michael Wohlman. Arrangements were entrusted to Peterson Chapel, Buffalo.
Her husband Andy was the first Zion member I ever visited in a hospital… in 1970. I have been in contact with her frequently since and I’m sorry she passed on. My plot is in the same cemetary, so our “shells” will be together some year. My sympathies to all the family.
