Alice Olsen (AKA Mimi/Grammie), age 84, of Buffalo, peacefully passed to her eternal home surrounded by her family on September 30, 2015 at Park Terrace Assisted Living.

She was born on March 7th, 1931 in Tracy, Minnesota the daughter of James and Mollietta (Leonard) Reynolds.

Alice loved life! She was a very faithful lady.

Ivan and Alice were joined in marriage November 19th, 1950. Alice loved to sing, dance with Ivan, and spend time with her family. She especially enjoyed spending time at their lake home in Deerwood and being snowbirds in Arizona. She was very involved in their church and loved to volunteer.

Survived by her six children: Jim Olsen, Bev (Tom) Scheirer, Doug Olsen, Jeff (Diane) Olsen, Beth (Clyde) Wachman and Dan (Jane) Olsen; eleven grandchildren: Ian, Erin, Courtney, Kelsey, Jenni (Scott), Justin (Mary), Ashley (Andy), Abby, Wes, Joe and Chloe; six great grandchildren: Hannah, Xavier, Varner, Avianna, Katie and Kenna; other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her loving husband, Ivan, her parents, four sisters, a brother, and special foster parents Dorothy & Robert Gibson.

Memorial Service Saturday, October 17th 1:00 P.M. at Park Terrace’s Chapel in Buffalo.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Park Terrace or Minneapolis Children’s Hospital.

    I am so sorry I was going to attend your Moms service but I have to go up to Thief River Falls this weekend to see my Mom regarding so issues. I loved your mom and still ray for her everyday. I miss talking and singing with her. I hope she is dancing with your father again.

    My thoughts and prayers for the whole family. I often think back to the new years eve gatherings of our families. Always ending in a polka.always a good time. Thinking of all of you.
