Aaron William Olson, age 46 of Otsego, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2017. He was born April 12, 1970 in Minneapolis, the son of Willard and Janet (Kadlec) Olson.

Aaron was a 1988 graduate of Park Center Senior High School in Brooklyn Park. Following graduation, Aaron joined the US Army and served as Military Police for eight years and served in “Operation Just Cause” in Panama. Aaron received his Graphic Design Degree from Hennepin Technical College and was currently employed with EPG Media in Plymouth, working on Thunder Press.

On April 10, 2010, Aaron Olson and Angela Cords were united in marriage at Hosanna Lutheran Church in Mankato.

Aaron enjoyed spending time at the cabin, cheering on the Minnesota Vikings and Wild, playing guitar, and time with his family, especially his 5 year old son.

Aaron is survived by his wife, Angie Olson and son, Andrew Olson of Otsego; parents, Willard and Janet Olson of Brooklyn Park; brothers, Michael Olson and his children, Aiden and Grant of Buffalo, MN, John (Laura) Olson and their children, Elliott and Lindsey of Las Vegas, NV; parents-in-law, Randy and Laurie Cords of Mankato; brother-in-law, Scott (Gretchen) Cords of Mankato; special friends, Kirk and Tami Kolbinger and their children, Cameron and Carter of Becker; and many other family and friends.

Funeral services for Aaron Olson will be held Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 4:00 PM, with visitation starting at 2:00 PM, at The Peterson Chapel, 300 Main St N, St. Michael, MN. Pastor Steve Kosberg will officiate.

Casket bearers are Michael Olson, John Olson, Scott Cords, Kirk Kolbinger, Cameron Kolbinger and Carter Kolbinger.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial savings account is set up for “Andrew Olson Caring Fund” at Minnesota Valley Federal Credit Union in Mankato (100 Memorial View Ct, Mankato, MN 56001).

Serving the family is The Peterson Chapel St. Michael-Albertville Funeral Home in St. Michael. 763-497-5362.

    Willy, Jan and Family – I am so sorry for your loss. You are all in our thoughts and our prayers. I will never forget our camping trips, ape city and roasting crickets on the campfire with Aaron.
