Robert “Bob” Henry Lord, of Buffalo, MN., was born 7/30/36 and passed away on March 1, 2020, after a short illness. His wife, Annette was at his side.

Bob was born and raised in Faribault, MN. As a career hair stylist, he was the business owner/operator of Lord’s Salon in Waseca, MN, until shortly before his retirement. After living in Waseca over 40 years, Bob and Annette decided to move to Buffalo, MN, in 2010 to be close to their family. Bob’s favorite hobbies involved classic cars, fishing, golfing, pool playing and trap shooting. However, his favorite activity was telling a good joke or story from his youth.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and 3 siblings. He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 61 years, Annette, his children, Tracy (Lord) and Suzy (Strege), son-in-law Roger (Strege), granddaughters, Taylor and Claire (Strege), sister, Renee (Gumbusky), along with many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2026 at The Peterson Chapel, located at 119 Central Ave., Buffalo, MN 55313. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM with a service to follow at 2:00 PM. Refreshments will be served. *Please know that this will be a dual celebration honoring his wife, Annette Lord as well; due to Robert’s passing during the pandemic, his original funeral plans did not transpire and that is why they are having a joint service. Donations have already been made in Robert’s name. However, if you wish to make donations in memory of Annette Lord, the family asks that donations be made to: Glenn Cottages Memory Care/Activity Department, c/o Amber Fuchs at 407 8th St. NW, Buffalo, MN 55313. Please include in the memo line: “Activity Department Only, Memorial Donation for Annette Lord”.

To Annette and family and Renee Gumbusky and family:
I am so sorry for the loss of wonderful Bob. What a super fun guy to be around and I wish I had seen so much more of him. I loved his soft ways and dry humor. Always pleasant and always knew me when he shouldn’t have, really. He was a man I will never forget and I put him in a unique category of special human beings. I will remember him with a huge smile as his smile was so valuable. I couldn’t be more sincere saying how blessed you were to be part of his life and you blessed him back. I mean every word! God bless all those he left behind. Peace to all, especially to Annette. P.S. You chose an awesome photo that I’m keeping! Thank you!
